A young witch, Kiki, moves to a coastal town with her cat Jiji and starts a flying courier service with the hope of making friends and becoming a part of the community. With the help of her new friends, Aira and Okarun, she begins to develop a stronger sense of herself. However, when the Evil Eye manifests inside her body and attacks her, she loses her confidence and wonders if she is a good witch.
With the help of Aira and Okarun, she tries to exorcise the Evil Eye by splashing it with hot and cold liquids. However, the yokai resists and continues to possesses Jiji. When the Enjoji Family moves into the cursed house where the Evil Eye resides, the yokai tries to possess Momo but Jiji stops him from pushing her back into the pit with a blast of his powers.
While visiting a customer, Kiki witnesses an airship accident on television in which the pilot and his assistant, Tombo, are stuck in the rigging of the dirigible. In a display of her strength and bravery, she flies over the wreckage and rescues Tombo from his predicament. In doing so, she regains her faith in herself and resumes her delivery service.
In the process, she makes a delivery to a painter named Ursula. The two spend time together, and Kiki realizes that she has lost her ability to understand Jiji. Ursula determines that the problem is an artist’s block and encourages her to find a new purpose in order to regain her magical abilities.
The concert also featured several pieces that were dedicated to Jiji, such as Krists Auznieks’ Cor. The virtuosic piece required both an incredible physical strength and mental agility to master. It was beautifully performed on a Gernot Wagner guitar, and the audience was left in awe.
